Papermodeling Tools
Hi all.
Now I want to share some tips on assembling paper models, especially models that I designed. For this time, it's about the tools.
1. Sharp cutter and Scoring tools
Highly recommended to use a small-tipped cutter like pen-type cutter or Cutter Stylo because it will make it easier to cut small sections and also cut a curves.
Some of paper modelers use tools when it comes to score the paper. It can make your paper scores smoothly . I used the tip of cutter for scoring paper models. Some of my friends used empty ballpoint pen or dull blades.
2. Flat surface
Many people use their own desk or a pile of paper for cutting surface. Of course it can damage the table. Or maybe some of you are wearing a glass for cutting surface? Glass can cause the end of the cutter becomes dull. The recommended surface is the Cutting Mat that made of special rubber and resistant to scratches. Cutting Mat is good for making paper models, and of course, keep your table durable.
3. Ruler or straight edge
Ruler is used to cut a straight line long enough. If it's not too long, you can cut it without a ruler. In using a ruler, you should be noted that the location of the cutter must be perpendicular to the base, not tilted or too rested to the ruler.
4. Scissor
Scissors is not recommended and used only at emergency state, especially if the cutter can't be used. For example at the time you wanted to cut the oversized flap from the half-assembled-model.
5. White PVA glue
My favorite glue for paper models. White PVA glue is transparent when it was dry. Another thing about this glue, it's water based so it can absorb enough on paper. But be careful, if too much, the glue can make the paper wrinkle.
6. Tweezers
Tweezers used to hold small parts as well as folding and gluing, because not every part of paper model is big enough for our fingers :D
If you wan't to start making papermodels, you should have the tools above. If you don't have it yet, please check my e-store. But unfortunately, it's available only on Indonesia. :)

Hobikit Kertas and DOTA models
Continuing my review about my friend's sites, I want to talk about one of my designs trainer. Besides in love with paper models, love to eat, he was also love to playing games, especially online game. His name is Arif Suseno. He made the site named hobikitkertas.com.
On this site, you will find many paper models of game, such as Gundam and DOTA. In addition, there are also some military models such as Warhammer Tank and other types of tanks. Especially for DOTA, Arif even create his own sub-domain to download DOTA models. In our last exhibition, many teenagers are enthusiastic about the DOTA, even when they saw the paper models, they are more enthusiastic again to assemble it.
Until now, I'm still learning to make paper models from Arif every weekends (and make my GF mad.. LOL).

Paper Replika
Hi All.
I was very happy because my friends on the Internet greeted well for my blog, especially my friends with the same hobby with me, paper modeling. Now i want to make a review some of my friend's blogs.
First site is www.paper-replika.com. On this site, you can find a lot of international and local paper models . The owner is my friend, Julius. Until now, hundreds of paper models issued by julius on his website. He even added some additional links, such as the model directory, gallery, and online store of paper models equipment.
Model directory contains free paper models that comes from the Internet. From simple to very complex models, and it's all free. In his online store, it sells equipment for making paper models. But purchasing is only done in my country, Indonesia. Some equipment that he sells like pen-type cutter / cutter Stylo, cutting mat A4 and A3 sizes, scissors, and also various types of paper. Perhaps the time will come, Julius can sell worldwide.

Dash-1 Emperor
Hi... Another busy weekend ahead. But I have something for you. It's my new paper model of Dash-1 Emperor. Dash-1 Emperor is the first machine that Yonkurou Hinomaru used in manga and anime titled Dash! Yonkuro. This is a mini 4WD 1:32-sized race car model without remote control. It called mini 4WD because all four rubber-tired wheels are driven. Though mostly popular in Asia, they have also been sold in the United States.
This will be the first model of the Dash! Yonkuro Series. Please let me know if you've made it. I will be happier if you can send me the photos of assambled model.
In a few days, I will prepare for the instruction files. If you're gonna make it without instructions, it's not a problem, just download it from the link below.

Hi World
Hi ..
Welcome to Ichinogami's Blog. Ichinogami is a term used in Japan for paper craft. Ichinogami has been known since ancient times. You must already know my oldest brother, the Origami, the art of paper folding without-glue-without-scissors. But my brother was born in the China and raised in Japan, while I was born and developed in the continent asia-europe.
I was quite popular after World War II, when many people are impressed with the form and history of the weapons of war such as tanks, aircraft, battleships, and other war equipment.
After that, I developed again into many shapes such as construction, automotive, character, until the other models. I've grown rapidly from the early 1990's in Japan and Europe. In South-east Asia country such as Indonesia, some have been introduced in the 1990s by local media.
In early 2000, several large companies began to use me as a part of their promotion strategy. The company provides paper-design associated with their products for free on the internet. This method is considered successful enough to promote and also to introduce myself to the world. Lucky, with more and more people who know me, now I can step further than a hobby of people who spend time alone.
Now you can use me to almost anything. Starting from gift, souvenir, collection materials, making reference model, a memento, until to be able to form early childhood creativity.
So this is my introduction. We'll chat some more if you want to know more about me or even wanted to use me for anything else.
